Retriever Training with Bogdán
Building partnerships. Shaping purpose. Training with heart.

About Bogdán
Bogdán is not only the co-founder of Sylvestris et Salix, but also a passionate, experienced retriever trainer and working test judge.
With over a decade in the gundog world, his training approach blends structure, clarity, and a deep respect for the dog’s natural drive and mindset.
He has worked with Labradors across all levels — from puppies just learning how to sit, to open-level retrievers competing in trials and supporting real-life hunting situations.
Bogdán is also an officially licensed retriever working judge, often invited to evaluate working tests and trainings across Europe.
His philosophy?
“A working dog is not created with shortcuts. It’s built with trust, timing, and thoughtful repetition.”

Training Alone - Extended Resources
Many retriever handlers train alone between seminars and group sessions.
To support structured thinking during those independent sessions, we have developed practical training tools based on the same principles used in our live training work.
If you often find yourself in the field without immediate feedback, these resources may help you prepare more clearly and reflect more effectively.
